Exicision of Skin lesions
Indications
- Malignancy
- Cosmesis
Procedure
- Use small scalpel blade (10/15)
- Make elliptical incision around lesion (along langer's lines to ensure good cosmesis)#
- BCC/SCC: excise whole of lesion
- Malignant melanoma: 1cm margin for 1mm / 2cm margin for 2mm / 3cm margin for 3mm
- Incise under lesion to remove
- Close skin with undyed subcutaneous non-absorbable suture
