Pacing wires
- Ventricular wires on left
- Atrial wires on right
- Exit skin and make a knot, fix with suture to skin to prevent accidental dislodging
- Be careful to not lance the mammary artery
Chest Drains
- Place into pericardial space
- Any opened pleural cavities
Sternal wiring
- Three into manubrium
- Five into sternum / intercostal space
